Aaron Zulpo

Brooklyn based artist Aaron Zulpo’s paintings typically depict multiple scenes divided up by artificial or natural architecture on the same canvas. He uses the division of space to create a strong sense of narrative invoking popular culture and the narrative forms of cinema and the novel.  Zulpo’s use of easily accessible imagery in combination with bright colors, divided spaces and lots of patterns creates complex image that is whimsical and easily relatable.

Zulpo has shown his paintings in a number of exhibitions both locally and abroad including Project: ARTspace, New York, Muse Art LTD, Hong Kong, Susquehanna Art Museum, Harrisburg, CG2 Gallery, Nashville, APW Gallery, New York, and The Woo Space, Beijing, among others. In 2016 he was the Ace Hotel Artist in Residence, New York.
