Amy Casey's work shows her fascination with the ongoing resilience and growth of civilization. Her paintings of burgeoning cities reflect her love of the urban landscape. Her cartoonesque cityscapes hum and buzz with ribbons of roads and highways energetically wrapped around growing heaps of buildings. Her artwork exemplifies her curiosity and awe of how much time and work it takes for a society to function and progress in spite of all the pitfalls of natural and manmade disaster.
