Andrea Sala

Andrea Sala imagines new environments and worlds by mixing present and future images, oscillating between reality, fiction and imagination. He pays special attention to design and architectural forms, questioning the materials that constitute them and their formal values. Taking his inspiration from design objects, Andrea Sala appropriates and transforms already existing forms, finding new potentials and reshaping them into new aspects and contexts.

Recently Sala has exhibited his work in solo shows at Federica Schiavo Gallery in Milan, Galería Formato Còmodo in Madrid, Galerie Antoine Ertaskiran in Montréal, and London Metropolitan University. His work was included in the 9th Venice Biennale of Architecture, the MAMCO Musée d’art moderne et contemporain in Geneva, Kaleidoscope Space in Milan, La Maison Rouge in Paris, the Musée d’art de Joliette, and the Fondation Guido Molinari in Montréal. His work can be found in the collection of the MAXXI—National Museum of the 21st Century Arts in Rome, and Banca Albertini Syz in Milan.
