About Angela Bulloch, Richard Hawkins, Karl Holmqvist, Klara Lidén, Nick Mauss, and Collier Schorr
Richard Hawkins (b. 1961) lives and works in Los Angeles. Solo exhibitions include Le Consortium, Dijon (forthcoming 2013); Greene Naftali Gallery, New York (2012) and Galerie Daniel Buchholz, Berlin (2011). In 2010 his work was the subject of the retrospective The Third Mind at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles. Collages by Hawkins were exhibited in the 2012 Whitney Biennial, which inspired a concurrent program on Tatsumi Hijikata and Butoh dance at Artists Space : Books & Talks.
Karl Holmqvist (b. 1964, Sweden) is based in Berlin. His work has recently been shown at Bergen Kunsthall, Norway; Gaga Arte Contemporáneo, Mexico City; and Alex Zachary Peter Currie, New York (all 2012); and included in Ecstatic Alphabets/Heaps of Language at the Museum of Modern Art, New York (2011). He has participated in numerous international exhibitions including the ILLUMInations section of the 54th Venice Biennale (2011); Manifesta 8, Murcia (2010). His book ‘K was recently published as a collaboration between Kunsthalle Zürich and Bergen Kunsthall, with JRP Ringier.
Klara Lidén (b. 1979) lives and works in Berlin and New York. Recent solo exhibitions include the New Museum, New York (2012); Moderna Museet, Stockholm (2011) and Serpentine Gallery, London (2010). In 2009 Lidén exhibited the installation The Teenage Room at the Nordic Pavilion of the Venice Biennale.
Nick Mauss (b. 1980) lives and works in New York and Berlin. Recent solo exhibitions include 303 Gallery, New York (2012); Midway Contemporary Art, Minneapolis (2011); and Galerie Neu, Berlin (2010). Mauss participated in the 2012 Whitney Biennial. His solo exhibition Answering a glance, glance up is on view at Indipendenza Studio, Rome through early January 2013.
Collier Schorr (b. 1963) lives and works in Brooklyn. Recent solo exhibitions include CoCA Kronika, Bytom, Poland (2010); Le Consortium, Dijon, France (2008); and a retrospective at Badischer Kunstverein, Germany (2007).
