    About The Work

While Yayoi Kusama uses her all-over dot patterns as a physical representation of infinity, Carey Maxon imbues her dots with an anthropomorphic individualism. This work is from Influence Schematic , a series of lithographs where, according to the artist, “Each image represents a structure that can exert influence on a situation.” Here, the artist represents nodes of power through the irregular dots’ various sizes, groupings, and arrangements.
