    About The Work

Created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the founding of The New Gallery, the first name of MOCA Cleveland, Five (State I) and Five (State II) demonstrate Christopher Pekoc's enduring fascination with the form, function, and expressivity of human hands. These captivating prints mimic the artist's unique technique of printing photographic fragments onto paper or polyester film, hand-stitching the imagery together and adding a variety of materials such as shellac and gold leaf.
