America Now & Here AMERICA NOW & HERE

In 2011, painter Eric Fischl responded to 9/11 and the growing political tension in the United States by transforming six trailer trucks into roving museums.

The project, called “America: Now & Here,” displayed artworks and hosted performances in "flyover" states across the country, offering alternative ways to think about America that weren’t provided by pop culture and the media. Now, just weeks after an election that exposed a disconnect between the media and the masses, we return to the prints from “America: Now & Here” for some insight as we enter the next chapter of American political history.
