About Style Becomes Icon: Magnum Photos of the Fashion World
Magnum Photos, the world's most famous photographic cooperative, was founded in 1947 by Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, George Rodger, and David Seymour. Since its inception, being a "Magnum" photographer has signaled a level of technical and aesthetic sophistication that has set these artists apart. Today, Magnum is a thriving collective comprised of rigorously selected photographers working in the fine arts, documentary photography, and photojournalism. Many of the world's iconic fashion images have been shot by Magnum photographers as well, and we're proud to showcase this selection of glamorous shots from the collective, many of them testaments to intimate, behind-the-scenes access.
