About The Collection

Art, to me is an evocative experience, so I chose these pieces for all the new directions they present to my imagination.

Curator Q&A

1. What are your thoughts on the intersection between art and design?
In each there is the other. I’ve always thought an object or space should be so intelligent that it is beautiful; the same holds true for art , especially contemporary art.

2. What were the first works of art you ever bought?
Teapot by Theresa Abel and CRTN CMV11 by Iran do Espirito Santo from Sean Kelly Gallery.

3. What is your favorite piece in your collection?
Bruce Nauman’s Clear vision.

4. What is your favorite art space?
The Artfarm in Salt Point in upstate New York. Designed by Ai Wei Wei for Chris Mao of Chambers Fine Art , it is the perfect convergence of art and design. The Pace Gallery on 22nd street is also an amazing space for sculpture.

5. What advice would you give to a new collector or a person decorating their home?
Look for pieces that engage and challenge you, ones that you can grow to love more as you live with them. Just like a significant other, or a great friend!
