Damir Očko

The experimental and delicately constructed narratives of Croatian artist Damir Očko, are shown through videos, photographs, installations and objects including sound, poetry as well as works on paper—photo-collages and scores. His project “Studies on Shivering: The Third Degree,” shown in the Croatian Pavilion at the 2015 Venice Biennale, combines politics, poetics and the body to investigate notions of the subjective relationship between the human form and physical experience.

Očko has exhibited his work at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, Temple Bar Gallery in Dublin, Künstlerhaus Halle für Kunst und Medien in Graz and the Centre for Contemporary Art Zamek Ujazdowski in Warsaw. His works can be found in the collections of Louis Vuitton Foundation for Creation and CNAP–Centre national des arts plastiques in Paris or at the MUDAM in Luxembourg. He represented Croatia in the 2015 Venice Biennale.
