Eline Mugaas

Eline Mugaas aims to document mundane urban moments, captured by her own subjectivity, to investigate the function of architecture within the reality of habitation. With architecture's ability to shape the urban environment and to regulate activity, Mugaas strives to explore the successes and downfalls of the constructed world. Recent works consists of photographs of her own home, where she is able to probe intentional composition and serendipitous intervention.  She is interested in the accidental and chance quality of photography, allowing for unintentional information to enrich the total composition.

Recently Mugaas has exhibited work at a solo show at Some Cities in Bergen Kunsthall. Her principal film was screened at Galleri Riis in Oslo. In 2009 Mugaas developed the zine “Album” with Elise Storsveen, which was launched at the Oslo venue Project 0047.
