Eva & Adele

Eva & Adele deliberately deny the existence of a biography which goes back further than 1991, the year in which they made their debut as the living art project "Eva and Adele" at the international art exhibition "Metropolis.” The Berlin-based artist couple have identified as everything from twins to genderless to timeless, literally—on the occasion of their coming out and many times since the pair has claimed to come from the future in a time machine, shortly after the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989. Dressed in matching outfits, they frequent art events, openings and shows under the direction of their artist statement, “Wherever We Are is a Museum.”
