Artist Eva Struble's work deals with a variety of social issues, including historical topics, as well as environmental concerns. Approaching her art from a realist perspective, Struble's paintings often features aspects of ruin, both natural and industrial. She has recently done work with the Brooklyn Navy Yard in New York as well as a study of the history of agriculture and migrant workers in Southern California.
Struble has taught drawing and painting in New York and Barcelona and has been a visiting artist and lecturer at other universities. In 2011, she became an assistant professor of painting at San Diego State University.Read Less
