    About The Work

This detailed work by George Widener, who is known to be a "lightening calculator," demonstrates his unique ability to give visible form to his complex calculations. One of his "magic squares," this grid-based work shows numbers bearing a certain mathematical relationship, which seems to revolve upon December 21, 2012, which some have interpreted as the date of the apocalypse based on the Mayan calendar. Widener's inclusion of "Conspiracy" in the title implies that he does uphold this popular prediction.
