Isabelle Fein

Reminiscent of Marc Chagall’s dreamy figurative style, Isabelle Fein’s paintings and works on paper feature fantastical vignettes rendered with a sketchy, often unfinished quality. Though they read like mysterious film stills, Fein’s compositions stem from the free flow of her imagination. “A work starts with some blots and brush marks and later develops into a scenery or situation,” she explains.

She has had solo exhibitions at Paris Kind in Frankfurt and Fort Gansevoort in New York.
