About The Artist

Since 2008, Jonah Freeman and Justin Lowe have been collaborating on mazelike architectural installations that reflect dystopic visions, psychotic episodes, and the workings of drug-related subcultures. Their first piece, 2008's , transformed a Miami condo into a speed-freak's laboratory; more recently Bright White Underground, set in Los Angeles's modernist Buck House, exposed the building's history as a setting for a psychiatrist's experiments with LSD.

Although their work as a duo has raised their profiles, both Freeman and Lowe have had active solo careers. Freeman's work has appeared in the Prague, Tirana, and Busan Biennials, and at museums including MoMA PS1 and the Wexner Center for the Arts. Lowe has also shown at MoMA PS1, in 2005's Greater New York and in a 2004 special project curated by Bob Nickas.
