About the Work
Employing only the colors of black and white, artist Jordan Betten uses curvilinear forms and abstract scribbles to create interconnected figures with human-like features that are distinctly feminine. Betten is often compared to Jackson Pollock, but in Royal Flush he develops a more contemporary, harmonious composition.
