Kevin Jacobs

In 2010 Kevin Jacobs became a member of Intoart, a London visual arts charity working with people with learning disabilities. Since joining the studio Jacobs has developed a number of significant works that draw upon his interest in film and landscape. Often working in series, Jacobs’ five large-scale landscape paintings take inspiration from Ansel Adams’ photographs of the American West. More recent works include a series of nine landscapes portraying the Mississippi at a time of adventure and exploration. They reflect Jacobs’ interest in American History and films of the “Wild West.” He has participated in public events at Tate Britain and Tate Modern and his work has been included in a group exhibition at Studio Voltaire in London.
