Liv Moe is the Executive Director of Verge Center for the Arts. Through her work at Verge, Moe has curated a number of contemporary art exhibitions, working with a range of artists and curators including: Stephen Kaltenbach, Daniel Johnston, Emily Prince, Bernadette Corporation, Amy Balkin, Doug Biggert, the Delusional Downtown Divas, and Robert Nickas. Verge's exhibitions have been featured in Art in America, Vice, Art Fag City, and numerous local publications. In 2010, Moe contributed to the curation and development of the Doug Biggert exhibition Hitchhikers at White Columns in New York, and Verge's final exhibition in it's first location, Haute Romantics was presented at the New Museum that same year. In 2011 Verge received a first place Arts Innovation Fund grant under Moe's leadership, and Moe herself received the Arts Executive of the Year award for her work in transitioning the organization from a for-profit commercial gallery to a non-profit art space.
In addition to her work with Verge, Moe is also a visual artist and writer. In 2006 Moe was named editor of the Sacramento arts and culture publication the Midtown Monthly, a post she held for close to two years, contributing to the magazine for over five. Moe's work has also been published on Northern California news sites including CBS Local and Art News. Moe's art has been exhibited throughout northern California, in locations including the Richard L. Nelson Fine Art Collection, the Sonoma Art Center, the Center for Contemporary Art Sacramento, and Axis Gallery. In 2012 Moe's work will be featured in the Richard L. Nelson Exhibition, Flatlanders on the Slant, and in 2013 Moe will be curating a show for the University of Australia, Sydney on behalf of Verge.
