Lovett/Codagnone

New York based artist duo Lovett/Codagnone have worked together since 1995, creating photography, performance, video, sound, and installation works that tacking issues of collective identity and resistance to social structures. Drawing inspiration from punk, theater, critical theory and radical histories, Lovett/Codagnone’s explorations of power have permeated the downtown arts scene for over twenty years.


Lovett/Codagnone’s solo exhibitions include Francesco Pantaleone Arte Contemporanea, Palermo, Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa, Palermo, Museo Marino Marini, Florence, LAXART, Los Angeles, September Galerie, Berlin, Sculpture Center, New York, and MoMA P.S.1, New York. Recent performances have been presented at MoMA P.S.1, 2012, the ICA Philadelphia, and the ICA Boston, 2007. Their work has been shown at the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, Cobra Museum, Amstelveen, the Netherlands, 2008, the Ludwig Museum, Cologne, De Appel, Amsterdam, Neue Gesellschaft für Bildende Kunst, Berlin, Palais de Tokyo, Paris.
