Lucile Desamory

Lucile Desamorys’ technical and artistic skills are as broad as they are sophisticated. From 1997 onward she has developed her unique language, interpreting reality and phenomena beyond the visible and explainable. Her work embraces film-making, live-performance, fabric pieces, installations and collages— characteristically assembling talents from various disciplines for her projects. She has worked with a number of artists including Kevin Blechdom, Nicholas Bussmann and Luke Fowler on film and music, and Birgit Megerle and Lucy McKenzie on installations and film. From 2001-2003 Desamory organized “Hi-Fi-Klubi” in collaboration with LEM and David Trep.

Desamorys’ films are shown internationally in an art context and she has had several solo shows including at Kunstraum Düsseldorf, Kunsthalle Frisch Berlin, Galerie Lena Brüning, Berlin, STUK Kunstencentrum, Belgium, Nomadeoase Hamburg and group shows at Tate Modern, London, White Column, New York and Kunsthalle, Zürich, among others.
