Many of Chelsea's galleries have closed their doors for the dog days of summer, but we still managed to see some art in the city—at Lisa Cooley Gallery in the Lower East Side, at the Museum of Modern Art's opening for its first-ever sound-art show, and at a special Artspace tour of James Turrell at the Guggenheim. Plus, we ventured well beyond New York, for events at the Aspen Art Museum and in Reykjavik. See more in our slideshow above.
