Marion Baruch

Best known for her relational period in the 1990s when she would sign all her work, "Name Diffusion," (a company she registered in order to poke at straightforward notions of authorship and authenticity) Marion Baruch has had a long, and varied career. Even in 2009, at 85 years old, Baruch continued to reinvent her practice, draping leftover fabrics from Milan's fashion houses as a way to find beauty in the overlooked as her own vision began to diminish.

With over a dozen solo shows throughout Europe, including the Musée d'Art Moderne et Contemporain in Geneva, Marion's work has been an especially major presence in Italian and French galleries since 1990.
