Max Frisinger

An assemblage artist through and through, Max Frisinger crafts intricate freestanding sculptures and installations out of found materials. Crammed with the likes of plastic tubs, table legs, metal, chain, rope, wood, and tubing, these works are both cacophonous and orderly. In addition to their sheer awe-inducing qualities, Frisinger’s work engages the viewer, offering different perspectives on its elements depending on the viewer’s position—what might appear flattened from one angle is enlarged and three-dimensional from another.

Frisinger, who was born in 1980 in Bremen, Germany, studied at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg. He has exhibited his work since the mid-2000s and currently lives and works in Berlin.
