About The Work

Two primordial forces coexist in Nazareth Pacheco’ssculptures and installations: attraction and repulsion. It is amidst this tension that her works demonstrate how beauty and pain, transparency and terror are consanguineously enmeshed in perceptions we have of the world and the impulses that drive us. In this highly unique work, Pacheco weaves crystals and scalpel blades into an impractical garment, framing the piece in clear glass to solidify its impact as an art-object.
