Owen Bullett

London-based sculptor Owen Bullett is known for his contemporary woodwork and formal investigations of internal and external space. Redefining the solidity of his chosen materials, Bullett bends, stretches and pulls at the physical thresholds of wood and metal, contorting them into modernist shapes and arrangements. Often working from a solid piece of wood, Bullett carves out space for each of his works both physically and metaphorically, transforming oak, cedar and elm into energetic expressions of form.

Bullett’s recent solo shows include Marsden Woo Gallery, William Benington Gallery, and Carl Freedman Gallery, London. He has held residencies in the United Kingdom, France, Malta and Belize. His work is held in a number of private collections around the world. Some of his projects include a sculpture garden in Hong Kong, and private commissions within the UK.
