About The Partner
Former investment banker Kavi Gupta collected art for a few years before founding his own gallery after realizing that his true passion was contemporary art. Founded in 1998 as Vedanta Gallery, the named changed to Kavi Gupta Gallery in 2004. The Chicago gallery has been showing emerging contemporary art from its inception, beginning with its first showcase of works by Felix Gonzalez Torres, and has since expanded internationally, opening a location in Berlin. Kavi Gupta currently represents rising stars including Theaster Gates, Angelina Gualdoni, Curtis Mann, and Clare Rojas. Kavi Gupta Gallery has also participated in important international art fairs including Art Basel Miami Beach, NADA Miami, ARCO, Art Forum Berlin, and Art Chicago.
