Other Criteria is a contemporary arts publishing company that was founded by Damien Hirst in 2005. Working with both emerging and established artists, they produce unique artworks, editions, prints and books, in addition to exclusive artist-designed clothing, jewellery, scarves, stationary and homeware.
Alongside Hirst, Other Criteria collaborate with some of today's leading artists including Mat Collishaw, Gary Hume, Sarah Lucas & Olivier Garbay, Harland Miller, Polly Morgan and Tim Noble & Sue Webster. Aiming to bring their works to a wider audience of collectors, Other Criteria places an onus on creating art for all. Damien Hirst has said of the company: "Other Criteria makes objects and books created by artists to an exceptional standard. I don't think art has ever been as popular as it is today and Other Criteria aims to sell art to everyone who wants it."
Many of their publications have won international awards for their design and have included essays and interviews by Hans Ulrich Obrist, Gordon Burn, J.G. Ballard, Michael Bracewell, Rudi Fuchs, Neal Brown, Jeremy Miller, AA Gill and Bruce Ferguson.
All artwork is available to buy directly from their shops in New York, London, Devon and online at www.othercriteria.com.
