Richard Kostelanetz

American writer, artist and critic Richard Kostelanetz is known for his literature-based, multimedia works that include audio, video, holography, prints, book-art, and new media installations. He has published over seventy-five books ranging from cultural and artistic critique to fiction, short stories and poetry. A highly political "polyartist," Kostelanetz has been the recipient of many grants and awards including a Pulitzer Fellowship in critical writing (1965) a Guggenheim Fellowship (1967) and a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant (2001), among others. In addition to his many books, his work has been published in periodicals such as the Partisan Review, The Hudson Review, and The New York Times Magazine.
