Rosa Giron

Rosa Giron’s multi-media work on paper combines colored pencil and paint, figures and text, and densely worked marks and fine outlines to produce Basquiat-like visions of Giron’s inner life. Her name, “Rosa,” along with “Mamma” and “Chavo” – the name of her favorite TV character, whose mannerisms Giron slyly injects into her everyday conversations – appear as boldly rendered statements throughout her work.
