Rosena Finister

Rosena Finister works in the Creative Growth studio two days a week with a primary focus in painting and drawing. Finister makes work that is largely influenced by her memories and recollections of her life in the South. Her paintings depict daily group activities, illustrated with rich interactions, and occasionally, speech bubbles, giving her work a somewhat comical feel. Formal elements of her work follow that same trajectory, with an aesthetic nod towards southern folk art.
