Sante D'Orazio

Sante D'Orazio was born in 1956, in Brooklyn, New York, where he studied painting and fine arts at Brooklyn College. He later studied photography and worked as an assistant to the American painter Philip Pearlstein. D'Orazio is best known for his work for Interview, Vogue, Vanity Fair, and GQ. Not only has D'Orazio's work been widely published in both magazines and books, it has also been featured in many exhibitions in both the US and Europe, most recently at the Anonymous Gallery/Collective Hardware in New York. His oeuvre includes many female nudes, predominantly supermodels and actresses, and generally explores the role of sex, fame, and sensuality in contemporary society.
