    About The Work

Inspired by photographs found in design catalogs featuring the work of Vico Magistretti and Charles and Ray Eames, Sterling Lawrence showcases furniture as sculpture. Deprived of their utility and set off-kilter, the stools featured in this photograph seem to spill of the page. By distorting perspective the artist renders the recognizable unfamiliar.
