Tania Pérez Córdova

The work of mixed-media artist Tania Pérez Córdova creates a narrative that stretches across cultural history and spiritual context. Incorporating found, cast and manipulated objects, Pérez Córdova interweaves fictional and historical timelines concerning the lifespan of objects. Calling attention to the performativity of her “artifacts,” she transforms their materiality, function and purpose with strategic interventions.

Pérez Córdova has had solo exhibitions at Proyectos Monclova, Mexico City, Mexico, Galeria Stereo, Poznan, Poland, and Redux Space, London. He group shows include Habita Project, Mexico City, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Oaxaca, Mexico, Laura Barlett Gallery, London, Kunsthalle Basel, Basel, Swtizerland and the Mexico City Pavilion at the 9th Shangai Biennial, 2012. In 2013 Pérez Córdova was a resident at Cove Park, United Kingdom.
