Toni

Toni Ross was born and raised in New York City. She attended Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT where she studied ceramics and graduated with a BA in film studies. Having been interested in making art from a young age, Toni's life has taken many paths from film work to drawing and painting, to pastry chef and restaurateur. Since 1997, Toni has been committed to working with clay. Informed by vessel vernacular, her work explores shape, surface containment, and the relationship between outside and in. Toni lives and works in Wainscott, NY. Her first New York City solo exhibition was held at Ricco Maresca Gallery, New York from November–December, 2011.
