Alejandro Osorio

Mexican artist Alejandro Osorio works in sculpture, drawing, and intervention. Former projects have included constricting the living space of caged birds for three months to comment on the social order of marginalized communities, splattering yellow paint on a sidewalk and commercial building in an effort to violate regulations regarding public and private space, and planting corn in the interior of an abandoned building to metaphorically rejoin domestic space with nature. Though Osario's gestures are bold, his drawings and paintings have a softer touch.

Osorio has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Mexico. Solo exhibitions include Juan Tinoco space in Puebla, Lazcarro Gallery in Puebla, Puebla’s City Hall Galleries, among others in Puebla.
