Alison Turnbull

Alison Turnbull transforms readymade information—plans, diagrams, blueprints, charts—into abstract paintings. The found source material is reimagined and made vivid through colour and through the intensity of the worked picture surface. Works on paper include editioned prints and an ongoing series titled "The Drawing Tables," made on stationery and printed papers of all kinds, displayed horizontally in long vitrines. She has also realised several major architectural commissions in London and elsewhere, using a wide range of materials.
