Ana Guerrero was born in Madrid in 1958. Her traveling spirit led her to travel the world and immerse herself in other cultures. Guerrero worked as a flight attendant and that allowed her to visit many places and countries such as India which especially captivated her, leading her to spend long periods there.

After working for several years as a flight attendant, Ana Guerrero began to study cinema and theater in Spain and even devoted some time professionally to acting and this allowed her to tap into her emotions and inner world.

In 1988 she had an accident that left her paraplegic, collapsing her whole world and forcing Ana to start from scratch.

In 1999 she started painting. Painting always attracted her, but it took Guerrero some time to grow accustomed to using the brush. Her first steps were to decorate furniture and later Ana Guerrero trained more technically in the visual artist Marta Ratti's workshop from 1999 to 2003 and later from 2009 to 2012. She also began to do a drawing workshop with the visual artist Álvaro Sellés from 2006 to 2008 and took painting classes with the art teacher and visual artist Manuel Azcona from 2004 to 2005.

Guerrero handles figuration and abstraction as different forms of representation, but always from the search for spirituality and reflection. Her main influences and pictorial references are found in Turner's landscapes and light, Monet's color, Tapies' expressionism and abstraction, and the delicacy of Japanese painting.

Her canvases permeate with subtlety as she employs patient and balanced brushstrokes with an exquisite handling of color.
