Anthony Haden-Guest

Anthony-Haden Guest is a British-American writer, journalist, cartoonist, art critic, poet, and socialite. He is a frequent contributor to major magazines and has authored several books. He was born in Paris, grew up in London and has long lived in New York. He won an Emmy for writing and narrating a PBS program about the influx of affluent “Eurotrash'' immigrants to Manhattan. His books include The Paradise Program, (William Morrow), Bad Dreams (Macmillan); True Colors: The Real Life of the Art World (Grove Atlantic); The Last Party: Studio 54, Disco and the Culture of the Night (Morrow). He has published three books of cartoons and verse, The Chronicles of Now, In the Mean Time, and Fun Times. His cartoons have been shown at many venues including Deitch Projects, a show curated by Christian Leigh at the Venice Biennale, and the Spring/Break Art Show. In addition to his pen and ink drawings, Anthony renders cartoonery into larger scale art projects including sculptures, mirrors, and lighting.
