Anthony Palocci Jr.

The work of up-and-coming Boston painter Anthony Palocci Jr. is primarily object-based. Creating glowing, semi-realistic renditions of basic household appliances, cardboard cup holders and stereo systems in an eerily subdued color palate, Palocci accesses the profundity of daily routine. Working mainly with oil on canvas, the artist brings a measured minimalism to his interior studies, which are at once mesmerizing and transformative.

Palocci has shown his work in solo shows at et al Projects, Brooklyn, NY, Lot F Gallery, Boston, MA and the 2016 Seattle Art Fair with SEASON. His group exhibtions include Platform Gallery, Seattle, WA, Montserrat Gallery, Beverly, MA, and Hallway Gallery, Boston, MA, among others. His work was also included in the 2013 deCordova Biennial, curated by Lexi Lee Sullivan, at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, Lincoln, MA.
