Adam Dant is renowned for creating detailed works with elaborate narratives that are reminiscent of the works of eighteenth-century social commentary artists such as James Gilray and William Hogarth. Rather than creating satirical works, Dant celebrates the trivia of the everyday in a humorous way to capture the essence of contemporary life.
Dant’s recent solo shows include: Bloomberg SPACE, Hayward, Adam Baumgold Gallery, and Galerie Brighi. Selected group exhibitions include MoMA, Tate and Victoria Miro Gallery. Dant was awarded the Jerwood Drawing Prize in 2002 and was chosen as official Election Artist documenting the UK General Election in 2015, for which he produced the print Government Stable.
