Anthony Iacono

Anthony Iacono, a New York native, is known for his work centering on themes related to queer culture and fetishism. His works, which are often arch and humorous, are composed of overlaid paint, ink, and watercolor cutouts. Many of them rely on formal plays between stark blocks of color.

The artist has recently had solo exhibitions at P.P.O.W. gallery in New York, one in 2015 and the other in 2018. In 2017, he received a Toby Devan Lewis Fellowship Award. This year he will be an artist-in-residence at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York.
