Antoine Cordet

Cordet’s Paintings explore a beautiful and delicate survey of portraiture with the use of streaming abstract lines and gestural streaks of moving color. The artist paints with a formal touch, yet the works appear wet and deliberately unfinished. Each composition suggests a moment frozen in time, and represent the artist’s fascination with a kind of hyper realistic mindset, yet completely fluid in abstraction. Cordet has created a contemporary golden age where painting holds ghostly hints of a romantic past, and the present feels sentimental and reflective.
