Brian Dupont

Brian Dupont is an American artist interested in abstraction. Over the years, his work has evolved from two-dimensional painting-on-canvas to incorporate three-dimensional supports, like structural aluminium. Dupont uses a range of materials including collage, epoxy, and acrylic. Although his earlier work focuses on the possibilities of mark-making and abstract notation, he's more recently introduced text and language, drawing inspiration from the signage in his Brooklyn neighborhood and the structures that support them.

Brian Dupont is represented by the Adah Rose Gallery in the greater Washington D.C. area.  His work 'Made and Remade Until Made Right' was exhibited at the at Adah Rose Gallery in Kennsington, MD. November 8 – December 31, 2018.  Recent writing includes ‘New Roads: Mark Sheinkman at Lennon, Weinberg’ on Two Coats of Paint.com and ‘Terry Winters: Material and Mapping.’ on Artist’s Texts.
