C.L. Salvaro's projects seek to discover friction within space. Dealing directly with the architecture of the spaces they inhabit, these site-specific works derive their methods and materials from their locations, revealing hidden aspects of their architecture and character. Salvaro's interventions are subtle but direct and authoritative in their actions. A triangular corner of a gallery might be a site for mold to grow, while on the opposite wall, a modest hole may be bored into a wall, revealing a steel support beam.
Salvaro's work has exhibited extensively throughout South, Central, and North America, as well as Spain.
