Dennis Morris

An artist, musician, and acclaimed rock and roll photographer, Denis Morris is best known for his iconic photographs of reggae legend Bob Marley, and the British punk band Sex Pistols. Morris began his photography career as a teenager, following and capturing intimate and candid moments of various musicians. In addition to his career as a photographer and art director, Morris also gained success a musician with the punk band Basement Five.


Morris’ work has been shown in galleries, institutions and collections worldwide including the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London, Known Gallery, Los Angeles, Hackney Museum, London, Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn, New York, and Today Art Museum, Beijing, China, among others. His work has been the subject of several books, photo essays and limited editions.
