Glenda León is a Cuban visual artist based in Havana and Madrid. The artist received her B.A. in art history from the University of Havana and later studied at the Academy of New Media in Cologne, Germany.
León works in various forms including sculpture, drawing, video art, installations and photography. She is interested in the cross between visible and invisible, sound and silence, and between ephemeral and eternal. Léon often uses raw materials and by-products of music along with materials directly from her body such as strands of hair or gum she has chewed.
