Jacin Giordano

Jacin Giordano tries to confer a sculptural and three-dimensional aspect on acrylic painting. In this attempt he does not manipulate material in order to create an illusion, but uses real objects, threads of wool, copper and blankets, and allows colour to do the rest: to direct the painting and objects towards a different world where the precarious inclination of his works might allow them to create a balance and a dialogue with the present.

He has exhibited his work at the DeCordova Biennale (DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, Lincoln); the Locus Project ( Miami); Broward College’s New Gallery (Davie, Florida); the Harn Museum (Gainesville, Florida); and the Frost Art Museum (Miami). He has held solo shows at the Galerie Sultana, Paris, and the Otto Zoo gallery, Milano.
