Jim Lambie

Jim Lambie makes colorful sculptural installations with objects appropriated from everyday pop culture—album covers, household objects, plastic buttons, repurposed chairs. He also frequently uses brightly colored vinyl tape in his site-specific installations, demarcating the space of a gallery and countering the austere white-cube environment with exuberant color and unexpected materials.

Lambie received his graduate degree from the Glasgow School of Art in 1994. His work has been shown internationally at such venues as Seoul’s Atelier Herm
