Lucia Fainzilber

The fashion influence in the work of Argentinian photographer Lucia Fainzilber is immediately apparent, not only due to her striking use of color and theater-like set production, but also in the artist’s conceptual focus on the identifying factors of clothing and fabric. After studying in both her home of Buenos Aries and at the International Center of Photography in New York, Fainzilber began her career working with a variety of established fashion photographers, and developing her bold aesthetic and creative focus through editorial work. Since then, Fainzilberhas has refined both her commercial and artistic practice, creating work that is both subjectively and visually stimulating.

Major exhibitions include “Moment of Recognition”, curated by Amy Arbus and “My Truth, Your Truth,” both at Rita.K.Hillman Education Gallery at the International Center of Photography, New York, The Argentine Consulate, New York, Somewear (2014) and Wild Flowers (2016) at Praxis Gallery, NY.
